The Land Rover Series IIA is the improved variant of the second generation of this famous British off-road vehicle. Available with short (88-inch) and long (109-inch) wheel base, this model was manufactured from 1961 to 1971 and is considered as the most classic and hardy model constructed. It became incredibly popular not only in the domestic market and other Commonwealth countries but also in the Middle East and Africa. Our kit represents a civilian spec 88 Station Wagon as built in the mid-1960s and enjoying a long service life. It shows typical Station Wagon features such as simple front bumper, angled rear crossmember, horizontal mounted side and flasher lamps, side mounted petrol cap, tropical roof with ventilation covers, interior mounted spare, bench rear seats, sliding rear windows… A good number of these vehicles were also used by the military in many guises, so we have included details like the front mounted spare wheel seen in Jordanian vehicles or when captured by the IDF, plus decals for these military models. There were lots of optional parts, equipment and details fitted or changed by their owners for a specific work or use, changing a lot its final appearance, so check your references when modelling a particular vehicle. Disponible con distancia entre ejes corta (88 pulgadas) y larga (109 pulgadas), este modelo se fabricó entre 1961 y 1971 y se considera el modelo más clásico y resistente de Land Rover. Se volvió increíblemente popular no solo en el mercado interno y otros países de la Commonwealth, sino también en el Medio Oriente y África. Este kit representa un Station Wagon 88 con especificaciones civiles, construido a mediados de la década de 1960 y aún en uso en muchos países. Muestra las características típicas de un Station Wagon, como parachoques delantero simple, travesaño trasero en ángulo, luces laterales e intermitentes montados horizontalmente, tapón de gasolina montado lateralmente, techo tropical con cubiertas de ventilación, repuesto montado en el interior, asientos traseros tipo banco, ventanas traseras deslizantes… Un buen número de estos vehículos también fueron utilizados por los militares en distintas formas, por lo que hemos incluido detalles como la rueda de repuesto montada en la parte delantera que se ve en los vehículos jordanos o cuando fueron capturados por el IDF, además de calcomanías para realizar estos modelos militares.
